Are Masculinity and Femininity Innate or Learned

Masculinity and Femininity are two adjectives that are widely used in today’s society. These terms are used to describe what we view as acceptable, and expected behaviors of both men and women in our society. What we view as socially acceptable for men and women sets not only the standard for the way they act, but the way they are perceived. Many of these behaviors are taught to children at a young age. At the same time, masculinity and femininity also have features that are unlearned or taught, and these I believe, are the most influential.
Evidence of masculinity and femininity can be seen in people of all ages and sexes on a daily basis. Whether it be two boys fighting in a grocery store or two girls at the mall deciding what they want to wear to a party that weekend, it is obvious that their behaviors are definitely different from each other.
