Aqua

Aqua broke up in 2002. There were four members of the group: Claus, Soren, Rene, and Lene; Vocals-Lene Grawford Nystrom & Rene Dif; Instruments-Soren Rasted & Claus Norreen. (Lene is the only girl in the group) The name Aqua came from a poster in their practice room that had the word "Aquarium" on it. One of their most popular songs was “Barbie Girl”. Soren was the one that thought of the song after he saw a museum exhibition on Barbie dolls. On his was home he started to sing a tune “I'm a Barbie Girl...in a Barbie World... Life is Plastic... It's Fantastic...”that was soon to become “Barbie girl” their number one hit.
