To what lengths would a religious governing body go to preserve the very core values of its faith and teachings? Would a governing body go as far as to remove or delete sacred writings from the focal point of their teaching just to make sure that the remaining writings would back up the teachings they were sharing? Depending on whom you ask or where you turn for information the answers will vary, but one thing is for certain and not disputed. There are many books from what was originally the Holy Bible that we no longer have in what we read from today. Some come from what is known as the Old Testament, or the Jewish writings before the coming of Jesus Christ. Others come from what is known as the New Testament, or the writings of the followers Jesus Christ.
