Anthropology, the Pot hunters and anthropologists

Although it might seem like a Pot-hunters and an Archaeologist are the same on the surface, this belief is not true. The techniques of the pot-hunter are in some ways similar and different to the archeologists, one thing that also distinguishes pot hunters from archaeologists is their motivation.
An archaeologist is one that systematically studies the past of human life and culture by the recovery and examination of remaining material evidence, such as graves, buildings, tools, and pottery. An archaeologist wants to know more about their past. They want to make connections to those who lived before us and get a sense of how they lived and what they were like. The past and the future are linked together so one of the benefits of learning about the past is to have a better idea of how the future might shape up.
A pot-hunter on the other hand is one who seeks artifacts from the past civilizations for personal use, sometimes by illegal means, without adhering to professional standards of...
