ANTHRAX

“A country already shaken by the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 is in a state of high alert these days because of the insidious spread of anthrax.” (Barry) I remember reading this on the front page of a newspaper. I’m not much of a reader so I turned on the TV and put it on the news channel, I was watching the news and all of a sudden they started talking about an outbreak of some type of disease. I had no idea what it was; I didn’t know the difference between anthrax and baby powder. I didn’t know where it came from, was it curable, how did you get it, was it contagious, can I prevent getting anthrax, did it all look alike, and was there only one type. Of course this really scared me, so I took upon myself to answer all my questions. To some of things I wanted to know. From all these questions I came up with one major question.
