Introduction
One of the best writers of the English novel is Anthony Trollope. He was one of William Thackeray's most enthusiastic admirers. Trollope's solid novels about mid-Victorian churchmen and politicians, after being almost forgotten, are once more being widley read and appreciated.
Birth and Education
Anthony Trollope was born in Bloomsbury, London in 1815 and lived a very difficult childhood. His family faced constant financial troubles.Anthony was a very large and awkward boy who felt an unhappy outcast among the young aristocrats that he met at school, therefore he kept transferring from one school to another. Attempts at University scholarships were abortive.
Career and Marriage
