Anne Hvides farmhouse is the oldest building in Svendborg. It was biuld around 1560 by the noblelady Anne Hvide who was married to Jesper Friis of Rødkilde(estate on sydfyn). she died in 1577 and the house had several noble owners until the year 1769.
