Animal Rights

The use of animals in scientific experiments has always been a controversial issue. Researcher argue that without the participation of lab animals they would have no way to test new drugs, surgical procedures, and way to relive pain. Scientist and Psychologist say some experiments take to long to conduct with human subjects. They say that the animals are taken care of. Animal care committees are set up to oversee the treatment of these animals. Animal rights activist feel that taking animals out of their natural habitat is inhuman. They argue that some experiments put animals though pain and suffering. Activist want to put a stop to the use of animals for scientific experiments. Personally I think the advantages of using animals for experiments out weighs the disadvantages.
