Animal Farm Compare and Contrast

Animal Farm was written in a fable form, so the type of animal that each character takes form is not much of an improtants, but rather what who or what they represent is what really matters. Many if not all of the characters in this book represent someone of some this that has connections to the Russian Revolutions of 1917.
Old Major: Old Major is the old pig whose dream inspires the animals with their first thoughts of revolution. He may be compared to Karl Marx, whose ideas and and writings led to the Communist Revolution.
Snowball: The brilliant pig who, along with Napoleon, take a very loose leadership in the beginning of the Revolution. His ideas are always grand and far-reaching. He is run off the farm by Napoleon.
Napoleon: The aggressive pig who, along with Snowball, becomes the early leaders of Animal Farm. After he successfully gets Snowball out of the picture, he slowly increases his personal power and privileges, while at the same time getting more control over the ot...
