Angels In America : Millennium Approaches

Every since the AIDS epidemic in the 1980's, homosexuality as been a hot topic. Tony Kushner picked up on this idea and was the playwright of Angels In America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes. He wrote this in 1992, in San Francisco. “It is a political drama that preoccupied with themes of democracy, community and personal responsibility. (Sparknotes.com). Angels in America is a two part play made up of Millennium Approaches and Perestrokia. It explores sexual, racial, religious, political and social issues. This paper solely deals with Part One: Millennium Approaches: What it is about, when it opened and closed, a biography on the author and the reviews.
