Andrew Carnigie

Andrew Carnage was renowned as one of the best financial geniuses and captain of the industrialization period. Carnage was born November 25, 1835 in Dunfirmline, Scotland to a political radical named William Carnegie and mother Margaret who both later spawn the great drive that Carnegie had. His father worked as a weaver, but with the invention of the steam engine, most of the workers in the small linen driven town became jobless due the replacement of machines. Carnegie's mother was forced to work to feed the family, as William never quite got over the transition that industrialization brought. Poor and in high hopes to find financial salvation elsewhere, the Carnegies left Scotland for the United States where Margaret's sister wrote of good opportunity. The family left May 17, 1848, when Andrew was only 13 year old. The family settled in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh.
