Analysis , Simulation and Performance Measurements of Network Devices in IP Networks

The primary goal of this research is to simulate and analyze the performance of real world network equipment, like edge and core routers, in Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
In order to analyze the performance , we have to collect specific information about packet losses, throughput, latency, jitter and application performance ( like VoIP ) for routed IP traffic through the examined system by forwarding traffic on all interfaces and measuring the results.
