Medicine River

The setting of the novel mostly takes place in a community called Medicine River. But there are two settings in most of the novel, one in the past where Will is remembering about his family while growing up. The other is his present; things that are happening in present are reminding him of the past.
The character that are introduced in the novel are Will, who comes back to Medicine River to start a new life. Then there is Will's cousin, Harlen who is really Will's best friend. Harlen has been in Medicine River all his life and really know what going on all the time. The next character would be Will's girlfriend Louise. Will and Louise are not really into an a relationship but are good friends. Will thinks that he is becoming to like her but really is afraid of the commitment.
