Moulin Rouge
The film starts with a black screen,this cleverly gets
the audience’s attention by making them thing why a
black screen and what is coming.You hear the
ochestre tuning up then you start to see the curtains
of a theatre appear slowly this gives the effect that it
is a live play at a theatre and not a movie.In the
centre of the screen is a conductor which is odd
because a conducter would usually not stand in the
middle of the stage.
