Let us start with excellence. This book has a style of reading I have never read before. Jonathan Kozol has taken me through a big lesson in life. He has set this book off with the hopes that it would set off some sort of signals. He intentionally wanders the streets of dirty Mott Haven South Bronx, New York. He exposes himself to the little voices of children and elderly, as they speak there extreme memories of this horrifying place. Amazing Grace is an inspiring, dramatic polished book. The writer reviews and picks through the everyday lives of the poorest district of the United States. This destination known as Mott Haven is located in South Bronx, New York.
Jonathan Kozol walks intensively trying to educate his mind of what really goes on behind the scenes and talks to all different races. He also finds himself having conversations with heroin users and prostitutes that are HIV /aids positive. He also educates himself on many of the homicides that have taken place there...
