Allen Ginsberg's Short Biography

Through out the centuries poems have differed. There was the classical time period with Sir Walter Raleigh, the Victorian period with ______, the poetry time period that we are in now is the Contemporary or modern poetry. Contemporary pieces really took off in the later part of the twentieth century. Allen Ginsberg was one of the first writers of the period with this contemporary style. He was one of the fist writers to test the boundaries of censorship laws. Allen was born in June of 1926 in Newark, New Jersey. The younger son of Naomi Ginsberg, and Louis Ginsberg, who was a high school teacher and struggling poet.
