All the Kings Men

A lone road with dying grass lying on the side. This is the scene depicted in this music video. It is based on a book about moral’s, one’s self image, and their character. The video is based on the book All the Kings Men, written by Robert Penn Warren. In the book the main character, Jack Burden, is faced with the challenge of trying to stay a pure man, while being surrounded by lies, deceit, and corruption. He is the dirt digger for the governor, Willie Stark. This video tries to capture Willie’s life, because he to was once pure but now has fallen off into corruption. Throughout the video, one sees hints of how Willie might have grown up and how it might end. In the book, near the end of Willie’s life, Willie reflects upon what has happened to him since he began his road down the path to sin and evil. The reader sees where Willie first set down that path.
