All Quiet on the Western Front

In the novel ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’, a lot of things happened to the generation of men that would change their lives forever.

The men that were in the war became different in a way that changed their beliefs and their opinions. They were also traumatized from what they had to live through, and were criticized for running away from the war. They were also belittled for wanting to stay at home instead of fighting for their country.

World War One changed their lives as well as their beliefs.

When Paul first arrived at the war he had believed what he had always believed until he had seen the horrifying acts of war. This had changed him in a way that nobody could ever imagine. After seeing a friend being killed or even wounded had a huge influence on Paul, Kat and the others.
