What is a generalization?! Perhaps a suitable definition would be that it is a matter of inferring from one or several particular cases that what you've observed in those particular cases is true in all cases. What significance does this have in our everyday lives? The term generalize originates from the word general which means concerning to, applicable to or affecting the whole, or every member of a class or category. Consequently, to generalize would mean reducing something to a general form and this whole phenomenon in turn would be known as a generalization. Human kind utilizes a lot of generalizations in our everyday life.
