I think tigers are the most amazing species of cats. Tigers are the largest cat of the cat family. I admire tigers for their strength and beauty. Wild tigers are found in Asia. Before the 1800’s, many tigers roamed through the southern part of Asia. Now there are only a few left in some Asian countries. The important things that a tiger needs are shade, food, and water.

The average adult male tiger weighs up to 420 pounds and are 9 feet long, including a 3- foot tail. The average adult female tiger weighs up to 300 pounds and are 8 feet long. The fur of a tiger can be from brownish- yellow to orange-red. All tigers are marked with black stripes. The throat, belly, and inside the legs has white fur.
