Just another normal day. So I thought. It was January 1, New Year’s Day. I woke up, crawled out of bed, and took a few steps just before feeling the excruciating pain I had in my head. My first hangover! People that are actually unfortunate enough to wake up the day after pulling an all niter of hard partying usually suffer from the exact same symptom, called a hangover. And what causes hangovers? A large amount of something called alcohol. Alcohol has many causes and effects. Some bad…and some good. And one that we all know and love is getting drunk. Today, I am going to tell you about a certain kind of alcohol, called beer. I will tell you about some of influence beer had on me where I grew up, some of the causes and effects of beer.
