al-hazeen is singing

The narrator starts the story with the descriptions of what people are doing in the wedding and through these descriptions draws an integral picture of the society at that time and gives some hints to indicate and preface or rather to foreshadow what will happen later in the story.
He begins with the women - as Sharifa one of them and she is the center of the story - and shows how they get ready for the wedding, as he says “all women were made up with greatest of care” in an attempt to create such a perfect atmosphere that allow to arouse feelings of the main character of the story, al Hazeen, and eventually leading him to get out all what he have kept inside. Meanwhile, the men decide to stand outside the house as if they were watching or waiting something to happen. Even the newborn babies are attending, “sleeping in the laps of their mothers”, how can they sleep in the middle of a party where singing and ululations can be heard in every corner? So I think, this indicates me...
