Against television

I disagree that television has helped improve standards of education for a number of reasons.The first and probably the most important reason is the programming.Around the world it is movies,sit-coms,soap operas,pop music and talk shows which dominate tv screens.There may be nothing wrong with these,and they are certainly popular with audiences,but the content of these programs has not helped to make people better educated.
