Against any city ordinance that limits the number of people per household

Initially, when I first read the title regarding a city ordinance law that would control the amount of people in a household, I was in favor of it. After thinking about it briefly though, my personal opinion was that it would not be a good idea. I don’t think any city should have the right to determine how many people should be in a given household, as long as it is within in reason. When I say within in reason, of course having fifteen to twenty people is really taking it overboard; even having ten members is really starting to push it.
With that being said, I don’t think any city is in a position to decide what is a reasonable amount of people to have in a household. Particularly if someone owns their home, what right do you have to tell someone who they can have living in the home?
