Against any city ordinance that limits the number of people per household

Initially, when I first read the title regarding a city ordinance law that would control the amount of people in a household, I was in favor of it. After thinking about it briefly though, my personal opinion was that it would not be a good idea. I don’t think any city should have the right to determine how many people should be in a given household, as long as it is within in reason. When I say within in reason, of course having fifteen to twenty people is really taking it overboard; even having ten members is really starting to push it.
With that being said, I don’t think any city is in a position to decide what is a reasonable amount of people to have in a household. Particularly if someone owns their home, what right do you have to tell someone who they can have living in the home? That just doesn’t seem fair to me, and I’m sure there are people would agree with that as well. Quite naturally I can’t speak for properties that are being rented, because I’m sure there...
