The question of whether affirmative action is the best policy to help overcome inequalities in America is a question that continues to be asked day after day. Supporters of affirmative action say that blacks deserve compensation for past treatment. Opponents of affirmative action argue that by thinking that past suffrage can be “repaid” is only prolonging the suffering.
