The article on turning points is basically about two young people Jake and a girl getting together to start a relationship. Jake gives her flowers and asks her out. The obvious answer from the girl was yes. As their relationship went fourth for about a few months Jake, the girl's boyfriend started acting a little weird. He would limit the times she got to see her parents and then made her not even to see her parents anymore. After this lead into getting in verbal fights, then lead to pushes and shoves which then lead to punches to the face. Kicks and blows to the leg and also to the head were the next to folllow. Tears, cries and suffering were what this girl experienced as she got hit with the telephone receiver constantly. This girl was abused physically and emotionally and was stuck in the middle of everything.
