Abortions

An abortion is a termination of pregnancy before birth that results in or is accompanied by the death of the fetus. Abortion is never an easy decision, but women have been making that choice for thousands of years, and for many good reasons. Some abortions occur naturally due to abnormal development or because of an injury or disorder that prevents the mother from carrying the pregnancy to term. This is a type of spontaneous abortion, and is commonly known as a miscarriage.
