Abortion

"Today a baby is a baby when convenient. It is tissue or otherwise when the time is not right. A baby is a baby when a miscarriage takes place at two, three, four months. A baby is called a tissue or clumps of cells when an abortion takes place at two, three, four months. Why is that? I see no difference. What are you seeing?" Gianna Jessen, an abortion survivor, spoke these words before the Senate in 1996. The only response to give her is a controversial moral issue.

Abortion is one of the most controversial and most discussed moral dilemmas. Abortion is simply defined as the termination of a pregnancy. There are two basic forms of abortion. The first is spontaneous abortions or miscarriages. The second is induced abortions, which is when the abortion is intentional. Abortion was legalized in 1973 with the landmark Supreme Court ruling in Roe vs. Wade.
