Abortion is a very controversial subject that has been continually argued over for years and probably many years to come. What exactly is abortion? Abortion is the destruction of the fetus or unborn child while the child is still in the mothers womb. This can be done by almost anyone from the mother herself to back alley abortions and even to abortions by clinics set up especially for this purpose. Here in the United States about 1.6 million pregnancies end with induced abortion. Abortion is a woman's own right and choice. On January 22, 1973 the Roe v. Wade decision proved this by recognizing abortion as a fundamental constitution right and made it legal in all states. The law permitted abortion at the request of the woman without any restrictions in the first trimester and some restrictions in the second trimester to protect the woman's health. Supporters of this decision known as “Pro Choice” believe that the unborn child is not alive until birth, therefore, it is a woman...
