Abortion

Abortion



Abortion is a very controversial subject and people can voice their opinions as to

whether it should be legal or illegal. Since abortions are currently legal they should

remain that way. If abortions were illegal the same amount of women receiving abortions

would not change but the amount of women dying would only increase. The

illegalization of abortions would only result in women being forced to turn to

unexperienced individuals for abortions or attempting to perform the procedure

themselves. An abortion is a human and civil rights issue and if it was illegal it would

take away a woman's right to make decisions about her own body. Therefore it is a

woman's choice whether or not she chooses to have an abortion. She should not have to

answer to anyone except herself.

The society actually benefits from the legalization of abortions. Since abortions

were legalized in 1973 women have had the right to abort unwant...
