A time to kill

The book I read for summer reading was A Time to Kill by John Grisham. In my thesis I will prove there is prejudice in the American judicial system. Without a fair trial, a ground stone for American democracy there is no justice.

The story starts in a small southern town of Clanton, Mississippi in the 1960s; a black man Carl Lee Hailey awaits trial for murdering the two rednecks who viciously raped his 10-year-old daughter Tonya.
