A Thanksgiving to Remember

The holidays have always been my favorite days. The whole family joined together for one reason, each others company. We have food aplenty at each and every holiday too. Thanksgiving has always stood out in my mind because it is the first major holiday of the year and some how time slows to where every second is a minute and the time with my family last an eternity for one day. Now times have changed and people have moved away but my memories of this special Thanksgiving Day still remains.
As I awake from my slumber, the smell of sugar and spice pumpkin pie creeps to my nose and the strong smell of coffee kicks me out of my warm, soft bed. I hear pans shuffling in the cabinets that are against my bedroom wall.
