A Rural High School Library

Project 1: Visit a library, media center, learning resource center, or information center, and prepare a report on the visit.

The media center at ############### High School in rural Harnett County was my first choice for this project because of it's proximity to my home. It serves students from the small towns of Angier, Lillington, Duncan and Fuquay Varina. I dropped my children off at the elementary school and proceeded to the high school. On approaching the school I encountered 2 different traffic jams with police directing traffic. I turned into the first available parking lot and was informed by a teacher that the lot was for students only and was given directions to the parking lot for visitors. I found the office and registered with the secretary as a visitor where I was given a pass to wear to the media center. The school has to be very careful of non personnel for security reasons.
