A Question of Ethics

The question of ethics or the naturally occurring ethical behavior of human beings is a complicated study. Naturally occurring ethical behavior is complicated because by definition it is not a set of forced ethics. Peering into human nature in depth uncovers the complication of this idea. Circumstance always comes into play when a person judges what is and what is not ethical behavior, and this alone leaves the determination of ethical behavior to the eye of the beholder. Without the forced institution of ethics, there is not a great deal of naturally occurring ethical behavior in the mind of humankind.
It is widely agreed that murder, theft, and rape are all unethical behaviors. Society views all of these acts as wrong. Yet, if the masses agree that these acts are immoral, why then is society plagued with murderers, thieves, and rapists?
