A Mission for Mexico


What exactly is a Mission for Mexico? Well, there are many different types of missions for Mexico. However, I’d like to talk about two in particular. These missions, although they were identical, each one represents something different to me. These trips took place when I was seventeen and eighteen years old. Although there are many different missions that go to Mexico each year with different goals and aims in mind, the two I went on were known as Habitat Trips. The trips were tough, but in the end they both were worth it.
The first trip I went on was sponsored by The 1st Presbyterian Church of Selma, Alabama. The mission team was composed of fifteen adults and nine kids. It all started in early July when we boarded a church bus that was bound for The Birmingham International Airport. The trip from Selma to The Birmingham Airport took about two and a half hours, during which time our team was able to grow closer as a group.
