A man Called Horse

Many movies have been based on the writing of novels and short stories. Recently in
English class we read “A Man Called Horse” and watched the movie A Man Called Horse,
which was based on the story. Usually when movies are based on a book or story they do not
exactly follow what the book or story says and may be revised for better understanding
for the viewers. While I compared the story and the movie I noticed a few differences. The three
differences I noticed the most were in the flashback and foreshadow, the complications, and the
ending.
The differences between the flashback and foreshadow in the story and movie were not
very much, but still noticeable. The flashback in the story states that “Horse” had grown up in
Boston with his grandmother. The movie says that the flashback is when “Horse” is back in
England enjoying life. The flashback in the movie doesn’t say at all that “Horse” had lived in
Boston. The foreshadowing in the story and...
