A grown-up day!

The sky was impeccable; as if there was no end to how far you could see. The clouds were cohesive in such a way that I could make animals out of the shapes.
It was Saturday. We were finally going to the toy store. Feeling the warmth of the sun, I felt that it was going to be a beautiful day. The sun was shining through the window, making colors on the opposite wall of my bedroom. It looked like a rainbow. I took a moment to count the colors. My sleep was so reticent, that the covers were hardly disturbed.
At the foot of my bed was a quilt made by my great-grandmother. It was made of all the dresses that my grandmother and mother wore growing up. My mother was very solicitous. When it came to the quilt, she would often place a stitch to keep it from falling apart.

My room was the second largest in the house, next to that of my moms, which was at the end of the hall. The walls were covered with wallpaper left by the previous owners of the house. It had designs that rem...
