A Clean Well Lighted Place

In A Clean, Well Lighted Place, Hemingway communicates, loneliness/depression, which is displayed by the old man who tries to pass the night outside of the bar in a 'well lighted place' after trying to commit suicide the week prior.

Hemingway presents to us a young intolerant waiter that has no compassion for what the old man is going thru and a older waiter that understands for he is just as lonely.
Hemingway makes the comparison between the two waiters when the older waiter tells the younger "You have youth, confidence, and a job" "You have everything"
When the younger replies back to the older with "What do you lack" The old...
