I aim to use sources A to H to see whether they provide enough evidence for this interpretation to be true.
Source A titled “Men and Women united in a common cause” is the cover of a magazine from during the war named the War Worker. The magazine was produced in June 1917. It shows a man and woman standing opposite each other, each holding a union jack flag in their hands. The male is dressed in army clothing and the women is wearing work clothes, maybe for a factory. This could be of great significance as it could be implying that both men and women were uniting because of the war and working together as a country and forgetting about gender. In the contents of the magazine there is a section on women in industry written by a woman worker. The fact that a woman was allowed to write in this magazine is a big step and that they are being allowed ...
