“The Allegory of the Cave”

The Uncovering of Knowledge and Its Power
Is it good being a citizen that is ignorant and accepts everything as it is without questioning the issue or problem? Or is it good being a citizen that questions all the issues in order to understand the reality that is being? In the story “The Allegory of the Cave”, Plato 427-347BC, Greek philosopher explored the issue of social groups and there differences of being enlighten and lighted. In a matter of minutes the reader feels trapped and puzzled, for the reason that the story kicks off with the introduction of slaves and there limited understanding of life. As the story moves along one sees’ the existence of reality, which is something to question and not believe because what we know is not always legit.
