“Teens + Alcohol = Deaths & Crimes”

It is almost midnight and your sibling has still not come home. Instead of just waiting, you decide to call their cell. However, no one is picking up. With nothing left to do, you sit down and start to wonder what they are doing. Where are they? Are they drinking? “Of course not,” you say to yourself. “They know they have to drive. They will not drink.” Suddenly, the phone rings; you rush to it, pick up the receiver…it is the police! They have called to inform that your sibling’s car had been hit by a 19 year old drunk driver. And they are…

A split second decision made by an immature 19 year old to get behind the wheel after “a few” drinks have cost and ruined many lives. How can the government let something like this happen? The legal age to buy alcohol should be raised to at least 24. This can decrease the number of alcohol-related motor vehicle deaths and lower the crime rates among teens.
