'Society makes the 'real' difference between women and men.' Explore this claim.

Our world is one of categories. From birth children are labelled and these titles often dictate a large percentage of their life. The first thing a parent is told about their newborn baby is weather it is a boy are a girl. And in turn this is often the first thing parents tell other people about their child, that is if they are not asked the question first. As soon as people know the sex of a newborn instantaneously they react to the child in a different manner. 'She is so cute and adorable,' 'He has such a strong grip'. The way people treat young boys and girls continue through childhood and into adulthood. Through parenting styles, childhood toys, gendered clothing and colours, and language used, it is clear societal influences are a huge contributor to the differences seen between men and women. These influences end up determining gender inequality, future gendered professions, and the difference in how men and women are represented in our society. People in our world are ...
