“Edgar Allen Poe/Peaches and Moral Decay”

The piece entitled “Edgar Allen Poe/Peaches” is about one foot by two feet, and was done in watercolor. It is a picture of three rotting peaches on a plate with a knife. In the knife there is a reflection of a man, apparently meant to be Poe. There are few colors used in the piece. There is orange, grey, white, green, black, and not much else. This lack of color, along with several other aspects, helps to pinpoint the exact message the artist is trying to convey.
