"Baptising babies is pointless" Do you agree with this statement

Some Christians may disagree with that statement because they want their children to grow up knowing God and to be in his family from an early age, this is the way of the Roman Catholics. Another reason why the Roman Catholic’s would disagree with this statement is because, baptising babies cleanses their original sin and in the case of an early death the baby will be a member of Gods family.
