“ A Worn Path” begins and ends with the difficult journey of Phoenix Jackson (p. 388). There’s no


information provide that gives a clear view of the grandson being alive. The reader can only assume the


when the grandmother talks about her grandson, the reference relates to the events that replay in her mind.


In Eudora Welty’s,“ A Worn Path”, she shows the symbolism of her grandson’s death through the usage


of birds, setting, and colors


In the beginning of her journey, Phoenix mentions “ …a solitary little bird” (p.388). This symbolizes the
