"A Rose For Emily"

Thesis Statement: The theme in William Faulkner’s “A Rose For Emily” deals with refusing to accept change. This idea is revealed through characterization, narration, foreshadowing, and symbolism. Faulkner’s perception is applicable in today’s society as the world becomes more modernized day by day, the older generation refuses to change their ways to adapt to the modernistic improvements.
