"A christmas carol"

In the play “A Christmas carol”, Ebenezer Scrooge is a sad lonely man who wants nothing to do with Christmas, or even the Christmas spirit. The play opens in Scrooge’s office on Christmas Eve with himself as well as his assistant Bob Cratchet. This sets the tone for the whole play because you can tell that Scrooge has a problem with everyone.

Scrooge has an issue with his nephew at the opening of the play. This person vs. person conflict deals with Scrooge telling his nephew that Christmas is a humbug and he doesn’t want anything to do with it. As the play goes on it seems as if Scrooge has a problem with everyone. He argues with 2 men trying to collect money for the poor and homeless people and Scrooge says that he will give no money to them. This is also a person vs. person conflict. That night when Scrooge goes home, he hears a ghost, it is his business partner who had died a year ago. Marley, the ghost tells Scrooge that 3 spirits will come on this night, one at one...
