7 wise men of Rome

THE SEVEN WISE MEN
In the ancient world of Greece there was a group of politicians and philosophers who in time became known as the Seven Wise Men. These men were Bias, Chilon, Cleobulus, Periander, Pittacus, Solon, and Thales.
Thales of Miletus was the first known Greek philosopher. He is believed to have predicted an eclipse of the sun in 585 BC. He stated that water, air, and fire were the driving forces behind everything in nature. He was also a mathematician. His mathematical theories include the concept of isosceles triangles and a diameters relation to a circle.
