19th Century Liberalism

Nineteenth century liberalism and socialism both have qualities that I like and dislike. In some aspects they are both similar to one another. However, they are a lot more different than they are similar. Socialists were like democrats; everyone is equal no matter what. Liberalists believed that only not everyone is equal or above average. By those statements alone I am lead to agree more with one than the other.
Liberalism and socialism are alike in a few ways. The main reason why they are similar is the belief that all people are good by nature. When people are bad, they are made bad. The other reason they are similar is their view on religion, however, not completely the same. Although both are secular, liberalists are a religious. They accept religion and believe that religion is another system of thought. Socialists are anti-religious. There are few similarities, but there are many differences.
